NoVABeerSec is a local brewery meetup group for Information Security Professionals in the Northern VA area. As a growing group, its founders were looking for a more professional image, and liked the idea of a logo that would cleverly combine hops flowers with something representing security.
After exploring a few different concepts, we landed on the final design of a hop-shaped padlock. The typeface and illustration style with its chunky black outline were selected to evoke a style popular with brewery labels.
