For open source blockchain project Hyperledger's second Global Forum event, the team wanted a new look from the one we developed for their 2018 event, as well as a distinctive logo for the event itself. Hyperledger has long used a greenhouse metaphor across their marketing materials, reflective of the opportunity for growth that they afford to the smaller open source projects that they take on.
For the new event theme, I merged concept of the greenhouse with the event's host city by centring the design around a custom illustration of plant life local to Phoenix, Arizona to create a bright, fun backdrop for the event. I then applied the new event branding across a variety of event collateral including digital marketing, on-site badges and signage, presentation templates and more.
