DX Exhibition Booklet
This assignment for my Typography 3 class required us to design a booklet promoting a fictional exhibition at the Design Exchange in Toronto featuring a well-known designer of our choice. I selected Jessica Hische, whose work—well, to say that I admire it would be an understatement. We'll leave it at that.
Since Jessica is known for her lettering work, I opted to take the opposite route, designing entirely with typography to allow her lettering to take centre stage.
The publication features images of several of Jessica's portfolio pieces, alongisde her own biography and frequently asked questions from her website.
In addition to a thin semi-gloss stock, I incorporated acetate sheets to layer pull-quotes over full-page images in an interesting way.
